The OpenGate Devices API is a Web REST-based Interface that integrates devices, sensors, or machines into the OpenGate platform’s services. The following figure shows the main features of the API:

Main features

Data collection

Using this service, remote devices like gateways, machines, and sensors can push data to OpenGate:

• Inventory data like serial number, ICC (SIM circuit code), MSISDN (mobile number), and many others.
• Business data from sensors or other devices using the data stream paradigm: location (latitude, longitude), temperature, pressure, altitude, or power consumption.

Operations

Allows the devices to receive remote operations requests from the platform and respond to these requests with the result of the performed operation.
